Getting into it/ inside out of the right side

After my cacti, cups and jellyfish amigurumis I continued with other free patterns from Mrs. Rimoli's blog. I also improved to tighten the yarn while single-, double- and half double crochet. But somehow I didn't know what was the right side of the crochetet good, which is the reason why some of my early amis are inside out. Especially one tutorial video for amiguirumi beginners on youtube, which is great for inheriting the basic skills beginners desperately look for, despite the fact that it tells you to turn your ami inside out and to pull the yarn through the crochetet fabric (starting at 5:05)... But nevertheless my amis turned out quite cute:)

The duck pattern is originally a chick pattern, but since the beak turned out more duckish it's now a lil duckling n_n ...
The fried eggs are hanging on my kitchen wall for a little while now. -I'm not sure what to do with them after I moved...

Crochet, Crochet, Crochet...

Hey guys, -I guess that's my first blog. I will upload my newest crocheted creations as well as other artsy-crafty things and home decoration arrangements...
And now a some information about me: I am a 24-year-old student, living near Frankfurt Main, Germany. I love interior design, crochetted goods, playacting, travelling and of course vintage stuff. Soon I will move to "Mainhatten" (-that's what Frankfurt's nickname is, since it's kind of the only city in Germany witskyskrapers:))

Back to the crafty topic: I started to crochet in February this year and my source of inspiration was (and still is n_n) ana paula rimolis free patterns. My first pattern was the little cactus she uploaded at her blogspot (http://amigurumipatterns.blogspot.com/2007/11/thank-you-little-cactus.html), which turned out okay, but I had to tighten my stitches not to let the stuffing show through the amiguirumi... And that's how it looked like :)

On the right side you see my first Amigurumi and next to it my second attempt with tightened stitches. For me they are a little Mexican family consisting of  la madre Gabriella y el hijo Carlos II...
My second project was the coffee cup pattern. Somehow, I needed to attempts to make them right; since I kinda got confused with the rows and it seems that I added 2 extra ones, considering the blue cups plus size. The yellow turned out perfectly tiny and so I unconsciously created another parent-kid couple :)

And finally I crocheted the little white jellyfish, which is also a free pattern from Ana Paula Rimoli's blog. Meanwhile I fell in love with the Rimoli patterns, that's why I ordered a copy of her debut feature Amigurumi World: Seriously cute crochet. Unfortunately the delivering process took ages, that's why I could only crochet Ana's gorgeous free patterns...

These were my first experiences with the making of Amigurumi. But since it's already April I have a whole lot more creations (mainly adaptions from Ana's patterns but also some creations that I made). Have nice midweek day! n_n
